G-Farmerz<\/strong>\u00a0is a production duo that has made significant progress in Italian rap, carving out a well-deserved spot as one of the most exciting names in Italian hip-hop.\u00a0Dave<\/strong>\u00a0e\u00a0Mella<\/strong> aren’t exactly young guns, but they are somehow fresher than thou.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a mellow and genuine sound, their beats often lean on jazzy, swinging grooves<\/a>, creating the perfect backdrop for some of the freshest talents in Italy\u2019s underground scene. Their work has been instrumental in shaping the sonic identity of artists like Pepe Nocciola, Sebini The Bini,<\/strong> and now also the Superfluido<\/strong><\/a> collective.<\/p>\n

Their raw, sample-based production style reflects a deep love for hip-hop\u2019s roots, while not disdaining a contemporary approach. We had the pleasure of sitting down with G-Farmerz to discuss their journey, creative process, and what\u2019s next for this dynamic duo. Hey G-Farmerz, happy to have you with us, and welcome to Specifiche di produzione<\/em>. Would you like to introduce yourselves to our readers?<\/h3>\n

G-Farmerz<\/strong>: Hello! We are Dave and Mella, a beat-making duo from Cuneo. We\u2019re currently based in Barcelona and Mondov\u00ec, but we go by the name G-Farmerz. We love creating sample-based beats with a raw, gritty flavour and rough chops.<\/span><\/p>\n

When did you start making music? What were your inspirations at the beginning?<\/h3>\n

Mella<\/strong>: I started experimenting with beats in the early 2000s, but it wasn\u2019t until 2010 that I began to take it seriously and bought my first MPC.<\/p>\n

Dave<\/strong>: I started around the same time as Mella. Back then, I was rapping and needed beats, so I began making my own. My longtime friend Alberto, aka DJ Nollie Nox, already had an MPC and taught me the basics. After that, I was hooked and never stopped making beats\u2014it completely overtook my MC aspirations.<\/p>\n

What was the first beat you ever sold or placed commercially?<\/h3>\n

Mella<\/strong>: I\u2019ve always made beats for myself and my friends, focusing on perfecting my craft. I kept a low profile for a long time until I started producing for Dave, Pepe, and Sebastiano for their solo projects. The first big project I worked on was Bar Sport<\/em> by Gentle T in 2023.<\/p>\n

Dave<\/strong>: The first MC besides myself who used one of my beats was Sebastiano Contrario<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
