Behind the name, there is a producer and DJ based in Rome, from a leaden corner of Calabria to the world, with the myth of Joe Strummer and the most mental electronic plates, on the most disparate streets and crossroads.

Today’s episode of our Blast Podcast sees the grey velvet as a protagonist, the scale of tones of everyone’s innercity, running between some puddles and things to do, with a colourful film in mind.

Personally, I associate funk with the warmth of homes during the chilly December and November evenings. The muffled and suffused sound of modern funk reminds me of fog and leaden greyness. London symbolically represents all of this. I like the contrast that is created between the two, the short circuit between inside and outside…
