Jay Vas returns

After years of blasting the scene, Jay Vas returns with Focus, his third solo album: an intense work, full of important collaborations and artistic awareness.

From the end of the 90s until his debut on the microphone alongside FFiume and L-Mare in the seminal “gliOcchi”.

From his solo rehearsals as a producer and mc up to the most recent productions for Francesco Paura, Blo/B, Dj Shocca and Pepito Rella among the others.

Focus arrives at his third solo album more solid, complete and refreshed than ever.

The rapper and producer from Lamezia has a lucid, disillusioned gaze, armed with music contemptuous of the sufferings of the system, in which he does not recognize himself.

About the tracks

The seven tracks that make up Focus give the perspective of a first-person journey through the rubble of the past, which mixes with the overexposure of the lights of the present.

The sound is deep, corrosive, made of powerful drums and synthesizers, between splinters of samples and luxurious yet minimal arrangements.

As Jay Vas himself says, not at all portrayed from the back on the cover, without going around it the concept is simple: “listen to the record and f**k you”.
